Pilates training at Schepbalans
I’m Nely Schep. The owner and teacher of Schepbalans. Moving is my passion! Whether it’s running, dancing, playing volleyball or walking in nature, it always gives me a wonderfully active and free feeling. That is why the choice for the sports academy was quickly made. For a number of years, I worked as physical education teacher at different schools. To gain a better understanding of the human body and movement, I then followed the training as a physiotherapist. Working as a physiotherapist I became interested in Pilates. Pilates is the ideal method of movement for me. In the end I chose to go all the way for classical Pilates training and I can use my expertise from physical education and physiotherapy very well. I now have almost 15 years of experience as a Pilates teacher and enjoy working with groups as well as with students in an individual setting. I followed my Pilates training at “Peak Pilates”, a training institute recognized by the American professional organization PMA.
I provide Pilates training under the name Schepbalans. This name is a play with my surname, but in Dutch it also stands for ‘Create Balance’. My goal is to find a balance with my students in load and capacity, in strength and flexibility, in tension and relaxation and thus contribute to a better quality of exercises and life. And all that within a safe and friendly setting, in which pleasure in moving and pleasure with each other are also important.
